Kasol is a hamlet in the Kullu district of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated in Parvati Valley, on the banks of the Parvati River, on the way between Bhuntar and Manikaran. It is located 30 km from Bhuntar and 36 km from Kullu town, the district headquarter, 3.5 km from Manikaran.
People often visit the mountains, especially for trekking, and Kasol is famous for the Kheerganga trek. There are numerous treks that this place offers, but kheerganga introduces you to the beautiful flowing Parvati river and some hidden villages of Parvati valley.

Nature Park is one of the bueatiful places to visit in Kasol. Engulfed by a peaceful atmosphere, the park has access to the mesmerizing Parvati River which flows through the worn-out rocks, making rumbling sounds.

This place to visit in Manikaran is a natural geological marvel, full of hot boiling water that is rich in Uranium and radioactive substances. There are folklores attached to the spring that hail their origin from Hindu and Sikh religions.

Usually, water of the spring is hot enough to boil rice and other food and it has to be cooled with the water of the river Parvati for bathing purposes.There are indoor and outdoor bathing pools for both men and women on the lower level while the upper level has an open pool. How To Reach Kasol

  • Air : The nearest airport to Kasol is Kullu Manali Airport also known as Bhuntar Airport in Kullu district. Daily flights connect the airport to the country's capital, Delhi. You can book a cab or a taxi to go to Kasol from the Bhuntar airport which is a mere 31 km and will take you about 1 hour to reach there. The nearest airport to Kasol is located in Bhunter, which is 31 kilometres away.
  • Train : Kasol does not have a railway station of its own. To reach Kasol by railways you have to get off at the nearest railway station to Kasol which is Joginder Nagar railway station, about 144 km from the village of Kasol. You can take a cab from the station to reach Kasol or a bus from the Joginder Nagar Bus Stand towards Manikaran which should take about 4.5 to 5 hours. Joginder Nagar is the nearest railway station to Kasol in Himachal Pradesh.Chandigarh Railway station is also very common among tourists coming via train. You can take a train to Chandigarh at a distance of 296 km from Kasol, which connects major Indian metro cities. You have to take a bus towards Manali or hire a cab to reach Kasol which should take about 8 to 9 hours.
  • Road : Being one of the most visited places in India by foreign tourists, the village is accessible via excellent road facility. The NH-3 is the main road leading to this village towards Manali. A road journey should simply just be as enjoyable and pleasant as Kasol itself. You can opt for self-drive or hire a cab. Delhi sets the base for people coming from long distances. There are many agencies that provide vehicles for rent and cab services to Kasol you can get in Delhi. Also, buses ply daily to Kasol from Kashmiri Gate ISBT in Delhi mostly being semi-sleeper Volvos for about 1000 to 1500 INR per seat. This journey takes about 11 to 12 hours. You have to then get down at Bhuntar, and take another bus towards Manikaran.
