Highly cultivated classical music and dance with their own distinct style are part of the cultural tradition of Rajasthan.
The music is straightforward, with songs depicting day-to-day relationships and chores, most of which revolve around fetching water from wells or ponds. The Ghoomar dance from Udaipur and the Kalbeliya dance of Jaisalmer have gained international recognition. Folk music is a vital part of Rajasthani culture.
Kathputali, Bhopa, Chang, Teratali, Ghindar, Kachchhighori, Tejaji, Parth dance, etc. are examples of the traditional Rajasthani culture. Folk songs are commonly ballads, which relate heroic deeds and love stories; and religious or devotional songs known as bhajans and banis (often accompanied by musical instruments like dholak, sitar, sarangi, etc.).

Amer Fort architecture features a unique combination of Rajput and Mughal architectural styles. It is a fine specimen of two different architectural styles. Mughal architecture needs no introduction; the world-famous Taj Mahal is one of its finest examples.
Amer was once the capital of princely Jaipur state and the fort's residence of its Rajput rulers. Maharaja Man Singh I, who led Mughal Emperor Akbar's army, commenced its construction in 1592 on the remains of an 11th-century fort.
Hawa Mahal, literally the Palace of Winds was built using pink sandstone in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh and is the most recognizable monument of Jaipur. This unique five-storey structure with small latticed windows (called jharokhas) is a blend of Hindu and Islamic architecture
Hawa Mahal is famous because of its amazing and unique architecture. 953 windows or jharokhas are beautifully incorporated in the honeycomb design of this palace. In addition to providing a window to the outside world for the royal women, these windows helped in keeping the palace airy and cool

Best time to visit : The ideal time to visit the Jal Mahal is in October when the weather is the most pleasant. The Jal Mahal is on the way to Amer Fort. The best plan is to visit this place twice, once on the way to Amer in the morning and second in the evening when the palace is lit up.
The Jaipur astronomical observatory, Jantar Mantar—thought to have been built by the enlightened ruler Sawai Jai Singh II in 1729—is one of the world's most accurate pre-modern observatories, and attests eighteenth-century efforts to improve understanding of planetary and other cosmic movements.
What's special about Jantar Mantar?
Jantar Mantar is an observatory constructed by Maharaja Jai Singh of Jaipur in 1724. The essential purpose of the Jantar Mantar was to accumulate astronomical tables which in turn would help predict the time and movement of the celestial bodies such as the sun, moon and other planets
